Lexicon :

Lower house: One of the two parts that some parliaments are divided into, usually the one with more political power.

 

Indigenous/Natives: Naturally existing in a place or country rather than arriving from another place.

 

Integration: To mix with and join society or a group of people, often changing to suit their way of life, habits, and customs.

 

Hongi : Ritual of Maori greeting in New Zealand. It is done by pressing one's nose and forehead at the same time to another person, it’s often done thrice.

 

Iwi : TribeKumara : Sweet potato.

 

Pakehas : White settlers who arrived in New Zealand and got the nickname of « Pakehas ».

 

Ratite : Flightless bird.
